ATHLETICS ALL SCHOOLS RELAYS

Last Tuesday at Olympic Park several MHS teams competed in the All Schools Relay Championships against state and

private schools.  Our Open 4x200m team of Jason Poon, Theo Oostveen, Paul Tripp and Randika Senadheera, all of Year 12, won the bronze medal in the final and this is the fourth year in a row that the majority of this group have won a medal during this competition. It is an impressive performance to win medals from Year 9 through to Year 12 and these boys are to be congratulated on their commitment to the School’s Athletics program over the last 4 years.

The Under 18 and Under 16 4x200m teams just missed out on making their respective finals. The Under 16 team of

M. Poi, T. Albiston, R. Sazzad and C. Subasinghe, all of Year 9, acquitted themselves very well considering it was their first experience at this level of competition.

NEXT COMPETITION:  MONDAY 5 SEPTEMBER
