Year 12: VTAC Applications, Scholarships and Accommodation

A reminder that VTAC timely applications close September 30 at 5pm. After that the cost rises to $66.00. Prior to the holidays it is advisable to show your preference list to me for comment. Applying for scholarships and accommodation interstate is best done during the holidays to ensure that your applications are on time and completed before your final exams.

Year 11: Course selection for Year 12 2006

Students should be thinking seriously about what courses and careers they are aiming for and ensure that they have the necessary prerequisite subjects. The VTAC publication VICTER 2007, which can be found on the VTAC site at www.vtac.edu.au or hardcopies are in T39 and the library, contains this information. Alternativley check your Coursescan document from Year 10 or redo it in T39 if you wish to make changes to your course.

Year 10: VCE Course Selection 2006-7

VCE Course selection forms should be completed and handed in to a Year 10 Coordinator by Thursday 15 September. There will be an opportunity to vary your selection should you need or want to but your choices will be limited once the timetable has been established, which is sometime in October.

Deakin Uni: Guaranteed Places 2006

Deakin will set a guaranteed ENTER for full fee paying places in 2006. It has also announced a guaranteed transfer from full fee to a CSP place for students who achieve a weighted average of 65 in the last 8 credit points of study at Deakin. Rural Ambulance Victoria: Recruitment Process

Vacancies exist in all 8 regions for student ambulance paramedics in rural and remote Victoria. Application forms can be downloaded from www.rav.vic.gov.au Applications close Tuesday 23 September.

Equity Scholarships: UAC

UAC has a centralised application system to process these valuable scholarships for 2006. Just one application is submitted through UAC to cover all institutions being applied for. The EAS booklet can be downloaded from UAC’s website www.uac.edu.au  Closing date is Tuesday 30 September.

MHSOBFC Banquet Auction Night -

Saturday 1 October 2005

The Grand Piano Gala Banquet Auction held last year was a huge success.  The success of this night was due not only to the support of current parents of the school but also by the huge support given by the Old Boys Association.

This year a banquet auction night will be held to raise in
