"Ours" - The Weekly Newsletter of Melbourne High School
Ours was first published in 1907 as a quarterly magazine with
articles, reports, stories, poems and photos about the school and
the students. It is an invaluable record of the School as it developed
and grew in its early years. During WWI it was used to record the
names and photos of Old Boys who had enlisted, as well as letters
from the front. When the School split in 1927, Ours ceased publication,
being replaced by The Unicorn at the boys' school, and Pallas at
the girls' school. In 1988 the Principal Neville Drohan introduced
a weekly newsletter for students and parents to keep them informed,
and named it Ours.
