EMPLOYMENT
The School is always looking for highly competent and motivated
members of staff.
The School employs 100 teachers and 30 ancilliary staff. Staff
generally remain at the School for a long period as it provides
a happy and productive working environment with excellent facilities.
Regular part-time employment is also available. This may be for
a day or up to one or more terms. Occasional on-going employment
is available as teachers leave for other schools or employment,
or retire.
- Daily absences are generally caused by teacher illness, teacher
Professional Development, or class excursions. CRT employment
(Casual Replacement Teacher) is organised by the School's Daily
Organiser who contacts the CRT in the days before or on the morning
of the vacancy day
- Some staff also need to be covered for School sporting trips
or cultural excursions. The periods of these vacancies may be
one to three weeks.
- Longer-term vacancies are mainly caused by teachers taking Long
Service Leave, usually one to two Terms in duration. These vacancies
are usually advertised in The Age and/or the Education
Times.
- Each year a small number of staff retire or change employment.
These positions are advertised in Recruitment
On-Line web site.
- Ancillary staff vacancies are advertised in similar fashion
by the School Bursar.
