The newspaper index Echo is available on-line via this link and from the Library Folder on the School Network. The Issue Outlines compiled by Echo are also a very useful resource. (Username: melbournehigh, Password: batavia) To obtain the print copy of the specific newspapers you require, you then need to fill out a request slip at the Enquiry Desk. Your required newspapers will be available for photocopying within 24 hours. |
Print Newspapers - The Age, Herald-Sun, The Australian |
The Library holds a copy of the three daily newspapers Age, Herald Sun, and Australian in print form for a period of 12 months. These can be requested by completing a request slip for the specific newspaper(s) you require at the Enquiry Desk. |

The Age Education Web-site is another excellent resource. Melbourne High School students and staff can access the full-text of the last 3 months of The Age on-line via The Age Schools Archive . The Age Issues site is also excellent and enables access to full-text, images and mulitimedia on the selected issues. |

Guidelines in an index to journals and is integrated into the Library catalogue, therefore a catalogue search also searches Guidelines . Melbourne High School can usually provide access to the required journal via our very extensive collection. If not, the school belongs to a periodical network and can usually access the required article via this means, within 24 hours. |

Victoria's Virtual Library enables students to access Gulliver which is a collection of databases that has over 6000 full-text journals, books, newspapers and pictures. All are available at nearly every public library branch throughout Victoria and all of which are now available for Victorian public library members to use at home! |
